What is Trainingspotting.com?

Trainingspotting.com is an online directory of trainers, training companies, suppliers and consultancies operating in English speaking countries around the globe. Users, like yourself, can search our database for training companies in your neighborhood or on a different continent, and find the company that provides the training solution that you need. Whether you need to brush up on your Microsoft Excel skills or you need somebody to run a course on Performance Management, you should be able to find it here.

Who is this site most useful for?

Most of our users are:

  • Training and Development managers and specialists
  • HR managers
  • Managers and specialists having the responsibility of finding the best training solution for their people
  • Anyone else needing to find where they can attend a particular training in their neighborhood.

What are the advantages of being listed here?

Each day thousands of people search the web for trainers, coaches or other training and development related products and services. Browsing the World Wide Web is time consuming, regardless of how good the searcher is, or how sophisticated the search engine. Trainingspotting.com aims to be the place that, in the area of T&D, makes most of these searches unnecessary. By having a large range of pre-selected categories, in a matter of seconds users can find the subject of their issue at hand and find the right person or company that can provide a solution to their particular problem.

  • It's tough getting into the first 20 results on Yahoo or Google. But you no longer need to be. As more and more people discover the value of Trainingspotting.com and realize that they can not only get quality information, but they can find what they're looking for in a much shorter time, your chances of being recognized increase just as much. Let your future customers find you here!
  • Our recently started HR/T&D article library attracts a great number of Human Resource professionals surfing for HR and training-related information. These people themselves are often in charge of making decisions about choosing training providers, are in charge of training expenditures or are in close contact with the people in their organization who are. Besides attracting the right people, this also gives the opportunity for training professionals to show their knowledge and expertise by posting articles here, and let people get to know their thoughts better.
  • Free membership – If your marketing budged isn't flexible enough to let you sign up for a standard or a premium membership, you still have the option of remaining listed on the site, and giving viewers the opportunity to find you. Even though your visibility will be somewhat less than that of paying members, we believe you can still obtain a fair amount of benefits from having a presence on Trainingspotting.com

What are the costs?

At this point there are three options to choose from: free membership, standard and premium membership. A free membership is open to anyone who provides training and development services and/or products.

If you wish to have more visibility and more freedom in how you appear on the site, you can choose either the standard or the premium option. Below is a comparison of what each of these will give you:

* A new development on Trainingspotting is the possibility to describe a certain course or product. This allows trainers to differentiate their courses from similar courses offered by the competition, and also allows users to get a better idea about whether a certain course or product appears to be the right one for them.

** Sorting to top:
Search-results will appear in the following order:
Members with Premium membership will appear on top.
Members with Standard will appear in the middle.
Members with free membership appear on the bottom.
Within each category the sorting is done by chance. (one minute you may be the fifth, but at the next search maybe second)

Our pricing is simple and probably more favorable than you may have anticipated:
Standard membership: USD 95/yr
Premium membership: USD 180/yr

For Training Product Suppliers (audio, video, training materials, forms, psychometric tests, etc.) there is a reduced membership fee:

Standard membership: USD 48/yr
Premium membership: USD 85/yr

To qualify for this discount, you may only be listed in the “SUPPLIES” category.

How long will this site be completely free and what will be free after?

We would like to give everyone the opportunity to experience the benefits of the site for an extended period of time, and will allow everyone the full use of the site until September 01, 2007. The table outlined in the previous section applies after this date.

Will this site change in the near future?

Yes, the site is going through some development: one such change is that you will soon be able to have a description of particular courses, particular programs and hence have the opportunity to differentiate yourself, and the courses/products that you run/have from those of your competitors.

Our specialty is not listed in the subcategories. Can it be added?

Yes. Please email us with suggestions of other subcategories, and if they can fit within the main categories listed on the site, we'll be happy to add them for you.

How do I register?

Registration, we believe, is quite straightforward, and we also tried not to overload our forms with useless questions, and only have those that will provide relevant information about your company. A few things about registration you should keep in mind:

  1. Make sure you fill in the box titled “description”. This is what allows you to have a personalized message about your company that users will see. Essentially often times this is the message that will decide whether they will click on your company or somebody else. In other words you do not want to leave this field empty.
  2. The site uses the commonly known + signs to show the subcategories under each category. (click on them to open the subcategories) This works the same way on the registration pages, where you can select the subcategories you want people to find you under. As mentioned earlier, until June, 2007 you can list yourself in as many subcategories as you want, however, after that this will change according to the table above. Please note that if you select the entire category, this will count as the number of subcategories within that category.
  3. Please also make sure that you include your website's full URL (starting with http://), otherwise the clickthrough doesn't work.
